Movidius 

This technology is a game changer for portable image systems and automation. A low-power, high-performance video processing chipset and software are available from Movidius. We are looking at applications that add sensors (video and still imaging) to fielded system products, and companies that are looking for the capability to provide the required sensor signal processing in the most power efficient manner possible. 

Movidius has raised $50M for 3D technology, but the true core technology is video processing.

Plessey Semiconductors Ltd.

The last, British owned semiconductor manufacturing company specializes in innovative semiconductor solutions, especially in the smart sensor field such as Electric Potential Sensors (EPIC) that can sense through walls and High Brightness LEDs (HBLEDs) using GaN on Si.  JLM is working closely with UK and overseas companies to commercialize these products. Sintef

Makes a Radiation Sensor Chip Set on 6-inch silicon wafers. The sensor size goes from 100 x 100 µm2 to 9 x 9 cm2. Custom designs are available to detect specific energy levels. Sintef is developing a new technology for x-ray imaging with photon counting and binning to increase the information that is obtainable through the generated image. JLM is connecting Sintef with our contacts in medical technology companies.

Sintef ICT

Developing a gas detection sensor and wireless radio system that can be used on an oil platform. Sintef spectroscopy technology for gas measurements provides simple, low cost, single gas (or limited number of gases) detection. JLM is introducing the company to our contexts in the energy field.

Innovative 3D stereoscopic display technology that enables clear glasses to be made so that the picture image is not dimmed. JLM is setting up meetings with leading consumer electronic device manufacturers.

The lightweight HoloChip technology opens up main-stream, multi-gas respiration monitoring with applications from operating rooms to home care. Optosense is a spinoff from Sintef that licenses and manufactures HoloChip technology. We are connecting them with medical technology manufacturers.
